Publication Ethics

IEJME is a member of SimilarityCheck, an initiative to help editors verify the originality of submitted manuscripts. As part of this process, all manuscripts submitted are scanned and compared with the SimilarityCheck software. IEJME supports the ethical principles set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All authors must confirm the following before the submission of manuscript:

  • All submitted manuscripts must be the work of the original author(s).
  • We only accept unpublished manuscript.
  • If part of data has been used in any other publication or presentation please inform the editor about this when submitting.
  • It is unethical to submit a manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.
  • There should be no conflict of interest, if any it must be clearly stated.
  • Authors should acknowledge the sources of data used in the preparation of the manuscript.
