Call for Papers

International Electronic Journal of Mathematics Education (IEJME) is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to "Contemporary Trends in Computational Science and Engineering Education." This special issue aims to explore the latest developments, innovations, and best practices in computational science and engineering (CS&E) education, with a particular focus on addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities in the fields.

We invite original research articles, review articles, and case studies that address the following topics, though submissions are not limited to these areas:  

  • Innovative teaching methods in CS&E education
  • Integration of agile strategies in CS&E curricula
  • Integration of entrepreneurship and leadership in CS&E programs
  • Sustainability and CS&E education
  • Ethical issues in CS&E education
  • Standardization and optimization in CS&E education
  • Use of emerging and advanced technologies in CS&E education
  • Interdisciplinary approaches in CS&E education
  • Assessment and evaluation in CS&E education
  • Global perspectives on CS&E education
  • Diversity and inclusion in CS&E education
  • Epistemologies in CS&E education
  • Affective factors in CS&E education

 

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: October 30, 2025
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: February 15, 2026
  • Notification of Peer Review Process: April 15, 2026
  • Final Manuscript Due: May 15, 2026

 

Submission Guidelines

To submit a paper to the collection, the authors are asked first to submit an abstract (300-500 words) that includes:

  • Short theoretical background and rationale,
  • Research goal and procedure
  • Summary of findings.

The guest editors will review the abstracts. Upon their approval, the papers can be submitted to the collection.

All submissions must adhere to the IEJME author guidelines, available at https://www.iejme.com/home/author-guidelines.

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's online submission system at https://www.editorialpark.com/iejme, selecting "Special Issue on Contemporary Trends in Computational Science and Engineering Education" from the submission options.
